Randall King
|
Randall is the Director of the Illuminating Engineering Services for Acuity Brands Lighting.
He manages the Visual Development Team and the Lighting Design Services department.
Randall graduated from the Illuminating Engineering Program at the University of
Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. He began his career with Lighting
Technologies, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado in 1992 as a software developer. In 1993
he worked for Gardco Lighting as an application engineer. In 1995, he joined Acuity
Brands Lighting to support development of internal and external technical lighting
software.

Tim Sears
|
Tim is a Lead Illuminating Engineer for Acuity Brands Lighting. Tim is a graduate
of the Illuminating Engineering program at the University of Colorado. He joined Acuity Brands Lighting in 1997
and has worked as an optical engineer and software developer for Visual.

Mary Lawson
|
Mary is a Software Developer for Acuity Brands Lighting. Mary has a Bachelor
of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. Mary has been with Acuity
Brands Lighting since 2003 and provides technical support, training, and marketing for Visual.

David DiLaura
|
David DiLaura received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Wayne State University
in Detroit in 1970. Then he worked for 10 years as an Illuminating Engineer
at the architectural engineering firm of Smith, Hinchman & Grylls.
In 1980 he was appointed Associate Professor Adjunct of Architectural Engineering in
the College of Engineering at University of Colorado and established the lighting
education program. In 1981 he founded Lighting Technologies, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado,
where he directed the development of Lumen Micro. He was appointed Senior Instructor
at University of Colorado in January 1994, and gave up daily management responsibilities
at Lighting Technologies. He was Professor and Associate Chair for Architectural
Engineering at the University of Colorado. In 2007, he joined Acuity Brands Lighting
as Principal Illuminating Engineer and is responsible for the lighting calculation engine in Visual.
David is a Fellow and Medalist of the Illuminating Engineering Society, a
Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and an Eminent
Engineer member of Tau Beta Pi. He was granted an honorary Doctor of Science degree
from the University of Colorado in 2008. He has published more than 40 technical
papers, a translation and analysis of Johann Lambert’s seminal Latin work Photometria,
authored A History of Light and Lighting, was founding Editor-in-chief of the journal
of the Illuminating Engineering Society, LEUKOS, and was Editor of the 10th edition
of the IES Lighting Handbook.

James Stenzel
|
James is a Senior Illuminating Engineer for Acuity Brands Lighting. James is a graduate
of the Electrical Engineering program from Devry Institute. In 1998 he joined Phoenix
Products and has worked as the Engineering Lab Manager and Applications Engineer. He
joined Acuity Brands Lighting in 2007 and works on photometric software, as well as Visual.

Kenny Lindstrom
|
Kenny is a Senior Illuminating Engineer for Acuity Brands Lighting. He graduated from
the Illuminating Engineering Program at the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in
Architectural Engineering in 2008. He joined Acuity Brands in 2010 and is responsible
for developing the Visual Design Tools. Kenny has had lighting design experience
working at Grenald Waldron Associates and is a LEED professional.

Ray Mendoza
|
Ray is a Senior Applications Developer for Acuity Brands Lighting. Ray has a degree
in Electronic Engineering Technology and has been in the lighting control industry
since 2005. He joined Acuity Brands in 2012 as an Applications Engineer designing
lighting control systems and transitioned to the Visual team in 2015 to add 10 years
of lighting controls expertise to the group.

Mike Burns
|
Mike is a Senior Applications Developer for Acuity Brands Lighting. Early career
highlights include 4 US patents for mechanical design. He became lead developer
for 3D graphics for an International CAD/CAM company in 2003. In the pursuit of
on-screen realism, he developed a shader engine to calculate lighting on the
graphics card using illumination models. He joined Acuity Brands Lighting in 2015
and is excited to bring his passion for realistic graphics to the lighting design environment.
